Architectural Control
To maintain a harmonious design and to preserve the European village architectural theme within Exmoor, homeowners must have written approval from the Architectural Control Committee for any additions or alterations to the exterior of houses.
The Architectural Control Committee consists of three members, two elected by the board and one elected by the membership of the Association. All additions and alterations to the exterior of structures situated on privately-owned lots must be submitted to the Architectural Control Committee before any work begins. For your convenience, the Association provides an Architectural Control Request Form for homeowners to use.
Requests must be submitted in writing and include detailed drawings, accompanied by a diagram of the lot and the dimensions of the house. Requests may be submitted by email or three hard copies. The ACC has 20 days to respond to requests. If the request is approved, the homeowner will receive approval in writing.
